In 2005, R. Kelly released the first 12 chapters of his hip-hop opera -- hip-hopera, if you will -- called "Trapped in the Closet." (Contrary to what the title might suggest, the project is about a one-night stand with a married woman.) Two years later, he released another 10 installments, but ended that set on a cliff-hanger. Now, finally, five years later, more videos are on the way.
According to The Daily Caller, new episodes will begin airing on the Independent Film Channel very soon. Mr. R. told Rolling Stone, "Being the nosy person that I am, I more than anyone wanted to know what the second chapter would be. And now here we are at chapter 23, trapped in the million dollar question — what the hell is the package? Well, ladies and gentlemen, not only am I ready to reveal what the package is, but I have many more chapters to share."
But the only question we want answered is: Will Michael K. Williams return? Because you know how much we love "The Wire." So, so much. It's kind of ridiculous how much we love "The Wire." Anyway, here's the first episode of "Trapped in the Closet." Watch it between episodes of "The Wire."
