PUBLIC OPINION > PETA Should Leave Kim Kardashian Alone

What initially appeared to be a vigilante flour bombing at a red carpet event in Hollywood is turning into a massive publicity stunt for PETA. The organization claims it didn't coordinate with Christina Cho to have her dump flour on Kim Kardashian. But when the animal rights organization said they'd be willing to back Cho in court, if Kardashian decided to press charges, the whole tone changed. Now Kim's sister is distancing herself from PETA, and Kim is pressing charges -- something she originally planned on avoiding. We asked the public whose side they're taking.

PETA is no doubt enjoying the free publicity, but more than half of the people who responded are siding against them. And keep in mind, in order to side against PETA, voters had to vote in favor of Kim Kardashian. That's not an easy choice to make. There were even vegetarians backing Kim. Their opinion on the fur industry is admirable, but generally not when they're the ones saying it. Flour bombs? Seriously? There's got to be a better way. One commenter wrote, "I'm all for animal rights, but not at the expense of another animal."
Teens Back PETA

Only a few demographics sided with PETA, and teens were one of them. It wasn't by much, only 5%, but the rest of the age demographics increased with age, as well. It would seem PETA is more popular with the youth, which could either mean they're the voice of the future, or they're what many older voters called them in the comment section: childish.
Conservatives Back Kim

This is probably the only time Kim Kardashian will ever have the support of conservative voters. It was clearly a "better of two evils" situation, but 85% is high compared to most other demographics. One libertarian wrote, "Personally, I'd pick just about anyone else over PETA with a few exceptions."
Smokers Support PETA

Smokers are a little more difficult to analyze, but they do vote differently often, and such was the case here. In fact, they were one of the strongest PETA supporters. Perhaps vegans and vegetarians are more likely to smoke. They've got to deny themselves a lot of things, so might as well take advantage of the plants.

No wait, we're not little kids or frat guys, nevermind.
it would be a waste not to use it now wouldn't it?
and other animals dont even have the right to life free from harm (the most basic human right).
Cho did assault Kim, that is obvious.
Peta deciding to back the person that assaulted someone else is stupid, the people for the ethical treatment of animals, should know better then to treat humans (also animals remember) unethically or to endorse it, ethical treatment swings both ways.
