Just one season into "X Factor," and Paula Abdul -- one of the three frontier judges who put "American Idol" on the map -- was fired for doing exactly what she did on "American Idol." They also axed Nicole Scherzinger and the host, leading "insiders" to call it a "bloodbath." But public statements have been amicable, and they're not exactly being put on the street, so maybe "rearrangement" is a more appropriate word.
Whatever the case, now we're back in the same spot we were before the show started. There are now two empty seats between L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell, and the rumors are already flying. Sources seem to suggest Cowell wants Beyonce, and others have spoken up for Mariah Carey. Perez Hilton is also running an independent campaign, and we saw Katy Perry's name pop up, too. We put together a list based on the rumors and let SodaHeads decide.

Who Should Be the Next 'X Factor' Judge?
24% Pick Mariah Carey
First off, before we set down the numbers we filtered out a couple thousand unregistered votes gathered through an affiliate, so the numbers here will not match the numbers on the poll. We want this recap to represent the SodaHead community. Mariah fared well across the board, but compared to the unregistered votes, SodaHeads preferred Neil Patrick Harris over Perez Hilton. And hey, that's something to brag about. The legendary Barney Stinson versus that guy who doodles on celebs? No contest.
Young Adults for NPH
Older voters didn't care much for the Neil Patrick Harris idea, opting instead for Mariah and Katy Perry. But younger voters, particularly young adults, threw a lot of support at Neil, even preferring him over Mariah. Basically, the "How I Met Your Mother" demographic came through.
Women Weigh Beyonce
Though women were actually stronger supporters of both Mariah and Neil, they had a pronounced third choice: Beyonce. Beyonce is the one Simon Cowell is rumored to have his sights on, but it wouldn't please the male audience. Men want to see Mariah and Katy Perry. Neil is their third choice.
Katy Perry Gets the Smokers
For whatever reason, smokers had an unusual preference for Katy Perry. She also did well with people in complicated relationships, Aries, and as you might recall, men. All that to say, she's not a likely candidate but there's enough support out there to take down Lady Gaga and Perez Hilton.

Lady Gaga: The weird and sensitive one
OR (You decide)
Victoria Beckham: The sexy and sensitive one
Neil Patrick Harris: The funny and charming one
L.A. Reid: The Cool and collected one
Those are your only choices. If you put them on then they will be the perfect judges. Besides putting them their would also boost ratings just to see what they'll say. it worked out for so many boy bands.
but whats he got to do with starmaking ?? i dont get it so my opinion of him is...
Neil Patrick Harris seems like a decent choice. But honestly, I'm not going to watch the show anyway so I really don't care.
