PUBLIC OPINION > Brad Pitt Gets Better With Age

There are some big-name actors out there who can be definitively called "bad." Keanu Reeves has done some great movies, but he doesn't have more than a handful of admirable performances. Hayden Christensen, the guy who played Anakin in the last two "Star Wars" prequels... You know where we're going with this. But with some, it's kind of hard to say. Brad Pitt recently admitted he's given some pretty bad performances, but according to him that bad acting is in the past. After about 12 years of it, around the time he did "12 Monkeys" and "Fight Club," something clicked. At least, that's what he says. We asked SodaHeads if he's really hit his stride.
Brad Pitt Says He Couldn't Act Early in His Career: Can He Now?

67% Think He Can
What can we say? The guy can act. He got a good two-thirds majority, and the comments were encouraging to boot. "Fight Club," "Benjamin Button," "Snatch," "Inglorious Basterds," "Moneyball" -- it's easy to forget how many driving roles he's filled. There were still some naysayers out there claiming he just a pretty face with a lucky job, but even they conceded he's better than some other faces. Maybe not Johnny Depp or George Clooney, but definitely Tom Cruise and Matt Damon. One supporter wrote, "He is one of those actors who does not automatically register as a solid actor, but he is."

Women Think He's Wonderful

Not to discount the results, but we have to point out the gender deal here. Yes, women were much more likely to say he's a good actor. Only 58% of men think Pitt can act now that he's older, but more than three-quarters of the women who voted are enamored of his acting prowess. Bias? We're not going to jump to conclusions. Just presenting the stats.
Older Voters Have Bad Memories

Interestingly, voters over the age of 45 tended to dislike Pitt. Could it be because they better remember his earlier days? Maybe if "Thelma & Louise" is your first impression of him it's hard to shake. Teens were by far the most supportive, giving him 87% of their vote.
He's Better If You're Drinking

You don't have to take a shot to enjoy Pitt's acting, but... It doesn't hurt. Drinkers were 6% more likely to say Pitt's a good actor than nondrinkers. So basically, if you're a drunk teenage girl, "Moneyball" should be the best movie ever. You don't have to be, but it helps.

Pitt's a better actor by a long shot. He's no Johnny Depp, though. He's about on par with Robert Downey, IMO.
Kinda feel sorry for Matt Damon. He's been typecast by Follywood into the Bourne-type roles but he's pretty good at comedy, I think. Beats Reeves at comedy fersher.
I have never screwed him, and as a hetro. have no desire to do so. Ha.
Sorry, …..just a little Humor here.
I've only ever seen him in the Oceans movies, and even then it was solely because of George Clooney. I don't like Brad Pitt, but I can tolerate him if he's in a movie with someone that I do like to watch. So far, that was only the Oceans movies.
