Please, I have an important question about a verse in the Bible.

1Timothy 2:8
I desire that in every place the men shoulkd pray lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling.

You may want to read the surrounding scripture, then respond.

Does this apply to only men, or men and women. Because the term "men" can me one sex, or both, it can get confusing. And the scripture around it is specifying the gender.

so should I (a female) include this verse in my teachings?

Paul said there is no male nor female we are all equal in Christ. The word man, son, bride really doesn't make us have to be a male or female for certain scripture.
