PLEase c if u know this movie! ( in description)

sorry i dont remember much. that is why it drives me insane. i do know that the movie is about this guy who has sled dogs and in the beginning the dad falls threw the ice and cuts the dog rope fee so they dont get dragged in too. The boy blames his dads lead dog and gets mad at it. somehow he ends up in a race and ( i think this next part is either in the movie or a similar book) all he brings is fruit cake because its light. ( this parts from movie 4 sure...) At the end he wipes out feet from the finish line but the people in the stands start doing the wistle that the boy allways did to make the dogs run faster and he won. PLEASE WHAT MOVIE IS THIS I WANT TO WATCH IT!
