  Pleasantville was a great movie, I loved the themes within it, 2 liberal teens bringing change to this little, naive, sleepy, black and white town, Liberal residents who EMBRACED the change suddenly turning into vivid Technicolor, Conservative residents trying to keep Pleasantville the same, dull, black and white town it has always been, and the violence they committed in order to keep it that way, very gripping!

  Pleasantville was a great movie - and it's just a MOVIE! You can't compare what's going on in the world with make-believe.

We need to have an understanding that neither can impose their moral values upon the other and the fact is that it is not all black and white.

  there was that movie by M. Night Shamylan.... i forget the name of it where everyone was afriad to go past the woods or into the woods..... it was a clever movie also.......... (the ending was great.... the monster ended up being one of their OWN people!!!!)

  uh, benjamin frnaklin coined it first? maybe? I can walk in to a high rise building any day of the week, off the streets, take a look around, walk through their parking lots checking out their cars, and KNOW that we are just NOT all equal. It is a theory, a principle.
