I bought the first version of PSP, but was saddened to learn they'd limited it to 97 decibels, which even at full volume was so quiet it wasn't worth playing games or watching movies on it. I could have taken the firmware back to an earlier version to counter it, but it just wasn't worth all that messing about.
The Nintendo DS has simpler games that I much prefer to play, like Mario Bros and Lego Star Wars, on the PSP the games focused too much on graphics and not enough on the simple enjoyment of playing the game. I'm not interested in shooting everything in site or stealing cars and killing prostitutes, I worry about the people who are drawn to and enjoy those games.

PlayStation's newest console, the handheld PS Vita, kind of flew by under the radar. It was released in Japan on Saturday to high demand. The Vita is equipped with Wifi and 3G, as well as a state-of-the-art quad-core A9 CPU, which is reportedly faster than the iPhone 4S chip. It was launched with 24 different games, including "Uncharted: Golden Abyss" and a "Final Fantasy" title.
According to The Telegraph, Sony received a large number of complains and bug reports on the product's release, but "immediately" issued an update that smoothed out the launch and satisfied most customers. They haven't released any sales figures yet, but Sony is hoping to turn around last year's $1 billion loss, partly due to the crippling effects of both the tsunami and the PSN hacks.
The Vita will not be available in the States until February 22. It will sell for around $250 to $300.

On PlayStation 3 modified...Torrent's are cool. ah hu huh.umm hu hu.yea a hu hu bung holes.I thought that any future cell phone tec, became boring before it came out.
Texting went out in 2001.When me and my dealer stopped texting.
Oh no!!!!!!!!!!,cells are running out of screen space...
Do people ever drop their phones anymore??bye bye screen.
Why do the sheepeople think they must buy this.??Wait 6 Months for something newer!!
This also depends on what it's function is going to be, if it is going to hae a major role then the hundreds of thousands of times that people may slam the psp vita on the table in frustration may graddually wear it down ruining both experience and wasting the money that you have spent on it as you will only be able to access half of the gaming experience.
Sony isn't doing anything really revolutionary with the new psp vita, they are just playing it safe, which may or may not lead to this consoles fall in popularity.
Seriously, Sony. Too damn soon...
i hate portable gaming consoles i never take them with me i am too afraid i drop them or they get stolen they are expensive
