Voted Ends of the Earth (tell story)
I would travel to the end of the world and back again to see you
guys play. But unfortunately I am a student in college, who recently
quit her job so I am lacking in money. I haven't been to too many
concerts but the ones I have mostly consisted of you guys. Ever since I
first saw you play at the Orange County Fairgrounds over the summer, I
have been addicted to you guys. Believe me my brother tells me all the
time that I am. Anyways, me and my two friends have been trying to go
to all of your concerts ever since. But it hasn't really happened
unfortunately. The only good story I can give you is that I had finally
saved up enough money to see you guys last night in Long Beach. Which I
might add, you guys were amazing!!! Back on topic, I have never been to
Long Beach before and neither had my friend, so we decided that we are
going to drive there from my house in Costa Mesa. I know it is not that
far of a drive, but when you have two girls in a car with no sense of
direction, it becomes a very long car ride. I had school late last
night so my friend and I weren't able to leave until 6 pm. We knew we
would be cutting it close. But for some reason we decided to take the
freeway because we thought it would be faster than taking PCH. I don't
know if PCH would have been faster than sitting in traffic for an hour
an a half. And I will never know. As we got closer to Long Beach and we
got on the 710 it began to look at little crazy. I thought I got good
directions off the Internet, but i guess I didn't because the freeway
started ending and all these weird off ramps to like the pier and stuff
starting popping up and the signs were confusing me. So I'm asking my
friend where to go and she has never been here and doesn't have much
better sense of direction then me, and she has no idea. So we begin to
drive slower, not like we could go fast anyway. After 20 minutes of
freaking out in my car because we thought we missed our off ramp
because we didn't get off the freeway, we just kept going straight and
thankfully we did because then I saw the street we were looking for and
turned into the concert parking lot. After the concert we were way
lost. We ended up going to Pier T because we couldn't find the 710
freeway south. So we had to do a lot of backtracking and finally found
PCH. I had never been so happy to see PCH in my entire life. So it took
us the same amount of time to get home as it did to even get to the
concert. Which I thought was kinda funny. I don't know if this story
proved anything except that my friends and I have no sense of direction
but that we are persistent and when we want to do something or go
somewhere we will make there. Maybe not in the fastest time, but we
will be there because we are dedicated to you guys and your music. So
please pick me, maybe my sense of direction is better going south than
north. I would love to see you guys again.
