Peter Gabriel is so much more interesting and profound as an artist. But even if he wasn't, in the 80's and early 90's I heard so much phil collins on the radio I don't care to ever hear his voice again.

Peter Gabriel is a Genius!!! But I enjoy him solo away from Genesis much more! His time with Genesis was Awesome and could never be "re-created". Phil Collins changed the direction of Genesis completely, much more pop, I enjoy it too... I don't even compare one to the other, they are two different groups to me. I also like Phil's solo work, so yea... to choose one over the other is like to have to choose between Bon Scott and Brian Johnson. Not gonna do it mate, love both era's of ACDC. "Cheers!!!"

I felt like Gabriel with Genesis was a little more on the experimental - eccentric side of things. I enjoyed them more with Peter. Not the biggest Collins fan, but I respect him as a musician.

I love both while in Genesis as well as individually. Phil Collins had the more playful approach; Peter Gabriel is more profound in my opinion.
