Peter Cook divorce finalized: Can you understand why Peter would cheat on Christie Brinkley?

Peter Cook and Christie Brinkley separated after ten years of marriage. Peter Cook cheated on his supermodel wife with a 18 year old he met at a toy store. He also spent $3,000 a month on internet pornography. In an interview with 20/20's Barbara Walters, Peter explains that his infidelity stemmed from a lack of emotional satisfaction from his marriage. It took the attention of another woman to help Peter realize that something was missing in his marriage. He felt that Christie Brinkley did not show him enough attention and gratitude for the effort he put in in taking care of her and his family.

The divorce was quite publicized, mostly due to the juicy aforementioned details and the fact that Cook paid $300,000 to Diana Bianchi, the teenager who he cheated with. Cook hopes to clear that negative publicity, saying, "My hope is that the world will see that I'm not the scum bag pervert that I've been painted to be."

    I think that Peter Cook...

    is just a normal guy whose life is broadcast in the tabloids. Men (and women) cheat on their spouses all the time, and in every walk of life! Being married to a supermodel isn't any better than being married to an average girl like me if you aren't getting what you need out of the relationship.

    I think that Peter Cook...

    didn't appreciate what he had and like many men ...had to see if he still "had" it!! My ex husband cheated on me and that was his excuse....some girl supposedly came on to him and he went for it to see if he still had it. I have NO time for men that do that to any woman.

    I think when you are in a marraige and you are feeling a certain way, it should be relayed to the other half. It is both parties involved responsibility to let the other know that, hey, I am not feeling loved and need some attention. How will a person know how you feel if you never state it. People do not have ESP, you must communicate. Peter Cook is using this as an excuse, unless he spoke to Christie and she yried nothing to rekindle their marraige.

    Is an idiot. I have no tolerance for infidelity, a marriage is a promise it should be kept. It took screwing around with a girl half his age to realize he had no emotional connection?!?! PAAALEASE!!
