Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson has a new pet chicken, but PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) aren’t too happy with the name she has chosen for it: Nugget. According to E!, the organization has sent her a letter suggesting a different name "in order to honor her as your friend and protect other chickens just like her."
The letter, written by PETA rep Michelle Cho, says that “chickens are smart, interesting animals with personalities of their own," and suggests that Alana rename her chicken “Not a Nugget” so that people know that “they should be nice to chickens by not eating them."
Cho also says that Alana doesn’t have to stop eating chicken nuggets, because "there are yummy vegan-chicken nuggets in grocery stores today that taste just like meat.” Perhaps she hasn’t seen “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo”? Do you think the letter is understandable or a total overreaction?

Seriously?Of all the travesty going on around us, and in the world, these folks want to take issue with a little redneck girl, who happens to be in crappy reality TV land, naming her chicken "Nugget". For all they know it could be meant as a "golden" one, or maybe even a butt-one....(LOL) But really, Whose attention whoring who here?
It is quite obvious the effect of eating an all plant/veggie diet has on the brain. Let this be a warning to all, that this kind of stupidity can happen to you.

...and the rest of the time, they completely destroy anything resembling a halfway decent reputation with melodramatic overreactions like this.
I swear, if I found out that PETA was funded and run by cat skinners and sadistic animal torturers to ravage the credibility of anyone concerned about animal dignity, I wouldn't be surprised for a second...but I suppose the more likely scenario is that some people really are this crazy.
