PETA Is Mad That Honey Boo Boo Named Her Chicken 'Nugget': Understandable or Overreaction?

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson has a new pet chicken, but PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) aren’t too happy with the name she has chosen for it: Nugget. According to E!, the organization has sent her a letter suggesting a different name "in order to honor her as your friend and protect other chickens just like her."

The letter, written by PETA rep Michelle Cho, says that “chickens are smart, interesting animals with personalities of their own," and suggests that Alana rename her chicken “Not a Nugget” so that people know that “they should be nice to chickens by not eating them."

Cho also says that Alana doesn’t have to stop eating chicken nuggets, because "there are yummy vegan-chicken nuggets in grocery stores today that taste just like meat.” Perhaps she hasn’t seen “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo”? Do you think the letter is understandable or a total overreaction?

Whoa wtf? The thank you letter bit was an attack on that annoying brat not peta.....wow, you call people who eat meat inhumane, while in the same comment, say we should thank peta for not hunting us down. O_o....notice something there? It is called being a hypocrite. There is nothing wring with eating meat. Killing a cow or dear for food is no different(though likely less violent) than one species eating another in the wild. Yes we are animals, so are you, you just chose to eat plants.

So now PETA thinks it can be mad at what we name our animals? Good lord, they need to get over themselves. Yes, animal cruelty is awful, yes I feel guilty about how they are slaughtered, but am I ever going to stop eating cheeseburgers and pork chops? No.

PETA is getting out of control. I'm a huge animal rights activist myself, but PETA just goes way too far. They should just be happy the chicken is her friend and she's not eating it. -_- But they are right about the veggie nuggets. xD I love Morningstar's. They are the best and they taste just like real chicken nuggets. I ate some today for lunch. :)
