PETA Backs Kim Kardashian's Flour Bomber: Whose Side Are You On?

Apparently the woman suspected of throwing a bag of flour on Kim Kardashian, carried out the vigilante powdering in protest of the fur industry, much like the agenda of animal activist organization PETA. According to The Daily Caller, "PETA denies that it had anything to do with the incident, but the
organization still wants a part in all the publicity."

And just how are they going to get that publicity? By offering to pay the flour-bomber's legal fees, should Kim "be so shortsighted as to go after this woman." They're making no qualms about the fact that it's a publicity stunt, though. Anything for the animals, right?

Ironically enough, Kim's sister, Khloe Odom, is a PETA supporter. Strike that, was. On Monday Khloe wrote, "I've been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time, but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me. As you all know, I don’t condone violence and bullying and what happened last Thursday was just that. I am absolutely disgusted by their behavior ... Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won't be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise." Now we're asking you to pick between Kim K and PETA. We know it isn't easy.

Peta are hypocrites cuz they do kill animals. Kloe was defending her sister against an assault by a deceptive organization. Kloe has more class here

NOT true! Kloe acted irresponsibly in this, blaming PETA when PETA did not have anything to do with this. You did read the article didn't you? And where is your unbiased proof that PETA "supposedly" kills animals? You do realize that big business puts a lot of propaganda on the net, don't you. A little common sense might help you.

I'm not a Kim Kardashian fan except in her fashion sense. Beyond that could care less about her and her family's show. No one has the right to harass someone or in Kim's case "flourbomb" them just because they don't believe in the same cause as you. You want be upset? Write an article about it or put it on Youtube and forward it to your Facebook and Google Plus page. So now PETA supports the person that did the assault and now loses a celebrity (Kim's sister Chloe) that was helping supporting PETA cause. Nice trade off.

I have to say Peta simply because they are at least an organization with depth though fanatical about it. Kim has no depth unless you are talking about the bottom of her swimsuit.

fur is a renewable resource and warmer than oil based synthetics. leather is more wind and water proof than nylon.

I had to give an answer because I wanted to post. So, in reality, it's not going to change my life one way or another. It was mean, yet funny but I can understand Kim's reaction. I'd be pissed if someone threw flour at me. Can you imagine how hard that is to get out of your hair?

I object to PETA's hypocrisy and their bullying methods, and to their glib exploitation of women. If it came down to the worst dictators in the world vs PETA I would have a tough time choosing which one was worse.

  • AngelArs bruce d 2012/03/28 16:23:04

Sorry but anyone who makes a blanket statement like that is ignorant. Human life is not inherently more important than other forms. I'll take my dogs life (who shows me nothing but unconditional love every day) over some degenerates life on death row (who rapes 13 year olds) any day of the week. In fact I’d be more than happy to put a doggy treat on “the switch” the day that degenerate is sitting in his electric chair, so my dog can do the honors.

PETA? Like the US Humane society, their message is humans should be subjugated to animals and nature. Notably, too, such organizations do not even carry out their supposed missions, being responsible for more euthanized pets than any other source. Yeah. Go PETA! And take the US Humane Society with ya.

Normally I would never condone or approve of bad behavior; and I do think the bomber was out of control, wrong to do that and rude BUT when I read what Kardashian and other celebrities are paid just to show up at these nightclub hot spots (Sometimes more as as much as up to 2 years work of working full time for me) I think she should have worn the flour with her head held high; brushed off what could be removed or even had her hired help bring her a new outfit and changed out in the bathroom. So what if the flour messed her up a bit . . . She could have cleaned up well enough and been a good sport about it all. For $75,000 you can cover me in flour head to toe!

First of all, it is indeed a form of bullying. Secondly, I do not see what people have against fur, as long as it is not a rare animal and as long as it was killed humaenely. I realize that that last part is kind of a contradiction, but we do eat steak also. On that point, we accept leather, to wear, to sit on, to keep our pants up and to walk in. What is the difference between leather and fur ? indeed, only the hair, both are animal skins. OK, some will say, but the leather comes from animals who "give" more than leather, the meat is also used. Fine, what rabbit, they also make fur coast using the rabbit skin. This falls under fur, as it is hairy and since it is fur, it is condemmed. Why, we do eat the meat of the rabbit also, so again, where's the difference. A cow "fur" (read:leather) is OK, a rabbit fur is not, why ??
Again, fur can be beautifull and should not be looked down upon. Fur is good with the caveat that it may not be of an endangered species and that it has to come to its end in an humane way, or is man made, then fur "rocks"

I seriously hate PETA. I'm all for protecting animals and am huge on adopting/saving pets as opposed to buying from a breeder. However, PETA's antics are less about protecting animals and more about being attention whores. I am always on anyone's side who is against them (unless they were truly in the wrong).

Apparently you didn't read or comprehend the article very well because PETA clearly said they had nothing to do with this. If they were "attention whores" as you claim, then they would have taken credit for what happened. Oops... looks like your biased theory just got shot down.
