People who have the hots for fictional characters?

What do you think of people who probably wouldn't be interested in a movie or book except for some character they develop a big crush on? You know, fangirls who want to marry or sleep with fictional characters and make up stories about it, and shrine sites to these characters and so on.

    Are you talking about the twilight fangirls, of course you are. they suck. I like HP and have picked my favorite characters and all, but i am not going to fall in love with any of them any time soon.

    It's all fine and good to simply like a show or book or something, and pick favorites among characters. It's something entirely different with these fangirls and their obsessive crushes.

    I think everyone finds a fictional character they find attractive but in a lot of cases it's just an attraction and nothing harmful. It's the ones dumping their boyfriends because they don't measure up to fictional characters that need help.

    I'd also add that the people who feel the need to attack people that don't like something that they like need help to. We all like different things and some of these obsessions are getting a bit too much.

    Having the hots for a fictional character is one thing. It can and usually is grown out of fairly quickly. Living your life for and around them is going way too far though. And if you think the teenage Twilight fans are bad, you should've seen the adult female fans of Prey. Yikes!!

    Oi vey. I don't understand the Twilight phenomenon at all. The writing sucks, the story is lame, and Edward Cullen looks like an elf.
