Penelope Cruz boards The Counselor for director Ridley ScottPenélope Cruz has boarded Ridley Scott's drama The Counselor. She has also been attached to Pedro Almodóvar new comedy Los Amantes Pasajeros that translates to "The Brief Lovers."

The Counselor follows a Southwestern lawyer that gets in over his head in the drug trade. Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem and Cameron Diaz have already joined the cast.
