my first wife's favorite group and the only concert I have ever attended.

I remember watching the sweat roll down Mark Lindsay's face (I had my binoculars) and realized that they are really working and not just having fun.

I saw them on the 4th of July a couple of days ago and it was the best show I've ever seen. They have a new lead singer, who was awesome, and a great drummer. Best show, and band I've ever seen.

"OH!!! if you're not afraid of the gun, maybe you're afraid of the WHIP!!!" Yeah I remember them, they were awesome. I remember when they were on The Midnight Special... They pretty much kicked ass. Shame they weren't more popular.

Mark Lindsay opened a once famous 50's style drive in but it failed in 2008.
Yaw's was fantastic but the redux by Mark was a total failure.
It will open again soon with a family member from the original Yaw's family so it will be something to try.

They were America's answer to the British invasion, but I think the Brits won that battle.

I would probably recognize the tune but for the life of me wouldn't be able to name one title they did off hand.

    My first album was
    doors

It had a sticker on the front ..."Includes the hit single 'Hello, I Love you'"

I remember them well, and saw them play live as a pre-teen kid.

I also remember them as being a regular part of the Dick Clark TV production called "Where The Action Is".

It was a daily program and spinoff of American Bandstand featuring hit music & musical guests with a regular dance team (the "ACTION kids") shot outside on California beaches and such, and hosted by Clark himself.

Most if not all of the musical performances on that show, whether it was the Raiders, or someone else, were lip-synched.

Regardless, the Raiders, when in a live setting on tour before a listening audience, was actually a good-sounding live band for those days.
