I would have liked to see Tolkien on here as well, but I like Rowling out of all of these the best. Stephen King is also an amazing writer, as well as Anne Rice, I guess I just pick Rowling because I have always loved the HP series since I was young. The others on the list I have never read before so, I have no idea.

He's the only one I've read outta the choices.

Though I love the writings of Neal Shusterman, Darren Shan, and some I can't remember because my memory sucks today.

But I like Rice quite a bit too! Their styles evoke a different type of feeling in me. Rowling envelops the reader completely into just good storytelling and characters that you can love. Rice's writing is a little more removed, but not without emotion. Rowling is like drinking hot chocolate and Rice is like sipping red wine...both are awesome but for very different reasons. rowling drinking hot chocolate rice sipping red wine awesome reasons rowling drinking hot chocolate rice sipping red wine awesome reasons

    Anne Rice

She's my favourite. I adore her writing, it's just so gorgeous.

I also quite like Stephen King and J.K. Rowling, but Anne Rice's prose is stunning beyond words, and never fails to draw me in.
