Nick Buckles sent a shock wave through the security and Olympic community when he said he felt that he oversold the capabilities of his private security firm responsible for the London 2012 Games. Mr. Buckles described the status of security as "humiliating shambles." The Tribune quoted Mr. Buckles saying, "Clearly we regret signing the contract but now we have to get on and deliver it.”

Terrorists struck Olympic games in the past, including the 1972 Munich Games and the 1996 Atlanta Games. Terrorists also attacked London on July 7, 2005 just days after the announcement of London as the host for the 2012 Games.

David Ferguson from RawStory.com reports: Chef executive of the private security company in charge of the London Olympics Nick Buckles admitted that he oversold his company’s capabilities and conceded that efforts to secure the games are in a “humiliating shambles.” According to CNN, the admission comes just days after Buckles signed a contract promising some 10,000 additional personnel on site, a move that he says he now regrets.

Neither tbh. I live in the UK and I have a really strong opinion on this because I am sick of them going on and on about G4S constantly on the news... I think that the police and army should have been in on security all along any way and I think the politicians were silly giving out a contract like that to a company and not expecting the police/army to get involved. If a private company was to take on so many people for.security and train them up I don't think they would be trained enough and I feel like we are in a lot safer hands now the military and police are involved. (Sorry if this never made any sense, I just rant on about stuff)

I'm no worried about security. It's the political crap that goes on behind the scenes that I'm worried about. I still love watching the athletes compete though.

There will be enough security at the games.

He actually admitted that his company's performance was a "humiliating shambles", not the games.

    Not personally -- I won't be there.

However, I have family there, so I'm concerned for their well-being and the well-being of their friends.

My friends business was changed because of the Olympics and they paid pennies on the dollar to take some of their land.

They should have hired Romney as he is the only one that has even shown a profitable Olympics in modern times.
