This summer, Andrew Garfield -- probably best known for playing Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin in "The Social Network" -- will try to recreate the success of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man trilogy in a new reboot. While he may not have the public's full support yet, his predecessor has a good feeling about "The Amazing Spider-Man." Maguire says Garfield is "f------ perfect" for the job, and you can't receive much higher praise than that.

Maguire actually interviewed Garfield for VMan Magazine, and told the new Spidey, "When it was coming together, I was particularly excited at two moments. One was when [director] Marc Webb got involved. I think he's an interesting and cool choice. And then I was certainly curious as to who was going to play Peter Parker. When I heard it was you, I was literally like, 'F------ perfect!'" The movie comes out June 30. Do you think Andrew Garfield can pull it off?

I'll go shallow fan girl for a moment here and say it true: I'll probably like this guy more, if only because he is cuter. If he does a good job acting it, I'll be thrilled, and probably forget about the other Spiderman.

Tobey Maguire looks more like Peter when he started out as Spider-Man, this guy looks more like Spider-Man now.

I don't see this movie as a Reboot it is simply another take on the character the comic books have both The Amazing Spiderman and the Spectacular Spiderman so I son't see why Marvel could continue with both film franchise versions as somebody explained they needed to create a whole New film franchise Spidey for the Avengers film franchise.

Spiderman was Spiderman before Tobey
and There will be a Spiderman after Tobey. Sam Rami butchered that series and I am glad it is getting a reboot. To make Gwen Stacey a mere flirtation and watering down spiderman's greatest foe Venom was the last straw for me. Long live Spiderman. Long Live Marvel!!! Bat who???

Maybe I do. But I'm not dropping $20 to see a spiderman reboot. I already saw this movie in 2002! Reboots are reserved for franchises that destroy themselves like Batman did in Batman and Robin.
