Odd excuses you have used for being late to work...

I haven't been late to work in awhile. I had a boss that made my skin crawl if I was late for work.So it was something that I avoided at all costs.I been late to work in the past BC of traffic accidents on the road,bad weather,pulled over by local law enforcement, etc...One time I let the dogs in the backyard and one ran away.It took half hour to find him.Another time there was a fire on our street and fire hoses blocked my exit.Got anymore odd excuses?

Gray Highlander racing southbound on Hwy 1. Pinned to the seat and held by unknown "G" force. I'm going to make it on time I scream to myself, I'm going to make it, when all of a sudden out of the fog, steps the monster who ate Piedras Blancas - Late again...

There was a hurricane and all of the roads were closed because of downed trees.
(I got fired for not coming in to work)
