Loureedia Annulipes, the genus of spider named after Velvet Underground singer Lou Reed
Velvet Underground rocker Lou Reed is taking a crawl on the wild side.
A new genus of spider found in southern Israel has been named after the American musician, Sci-News.com reported.
The spider, which will be called Loureedia, is a type of velvet spider, according to Sci-News.
