After beating out Rafael Nadal for his first Wimbledon title, Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic turned heads with a strange celebratory act.
On Monday, Djokovic, who has lost only one match this year, will move up to be ranked number one in the world.

Josh Malchman 2011/07/04 01:00:07Understandable+8Custom ? He lost a bet? Tradition? who knows. But he is a fantastic up and coming player and has proved time and again this year that he can contend with the best

its unclear why this custom came about something to do with when you honor the Gods and offer them food you offer them a bowl of rice and wine or cookies or bread to honor them and you eat a piece of the gods element Earth Goddess you eat Dirt Water god you drink water etc
Other Religions have simlar traditions too the chinese and japanese Gods have simlar things
and African Gods and Goddess have simlar things as well
thats just a thought im not really sure why he did that
There is an eating disorder called geophagia but I doubt he makes a habit of it.
Am I a champion? You decide...but yes.
