I've been a fan of '90s grunge ever since I was a depressed teen with a Sony Discman and a death wish. The two grunge greats of the day, in my opinion, were Nirvana and Pearl Jam. I still love them today. Maybe it's because they reconnect me to my youth? Maybe it's because they give me comfort when I feel depressed, even today? Maybe it's because I still kind of dress like it's 1994? Whatever the reason, they are still great. So who is your favourite? I would have to say Nirvana. Kurt Cobain is LEGEN... wait for it... DARY!

pearl jam by far was never impressed the way everyone else was by cobain he was passable at best in my opinion think dave grohl is far more talented

and ps pearl jam didnt bail on us curt did even worse on his lil girl
no respect for him because of that

Its intresting that Kurt and Nirvana often used cheap guitars too.The Beatles often did too.Exspensive guitars often sound better but cheaper is more of the people.It can sound good and soulful either way. Ive decided personally to use cheap electrics and exspensive
acoustics.Thats just whats right for me.

It took me some time to like In Utero but I do dig that album now.My favorites are Nevermind and Unplugged Live in New York.Plus I really think Smells like teen spirit
the original without the Butch Vig mix off the box set is a classic.

Kurt Cobain was a huge Beatles fan too (as you probably already know). This may have influenced his decision on what guitars to use?

Yes.Many early blues guitarists used handmade guitars or sometimes even cigar box guitars.Bo Diddley paid homage to that with his square body guitars.
