Back in October, we asked you which Rock and Rock Hall of Fame nominees you wanted to see inducted into the legendary artist collective. And it seems Hall officials largely agreed with you.

The largest number of your votes went to Nirvana and Kiss, both of which were included among the honorees in Monday's announcement. Singer-songwriter Cat Stevens joins the two groups, along with Hall and Oates, Peter Gabriel, and Linda Ronstadt.

Beatles manager from 1962-1967, Brian Epstein, will receive a Lifetime Achievement award as will Rolling Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham, who's said to have catapulted the group to "worldwide stardom and crafted their bad boy image so well it became both their brand and burden."

Bruce Springsteen's The E Street Band will also enjoy a spot in the Hall. The group, established by Springsteen in 1973, aided in establishing the singer's "legendary reputation as one of the greatest performers in the history of rock and roll."

Who's your favorite honoree, SodaHeads? Who should have made the list? Is this rock and roll honor still a right of passage for artists, or is its meaning losing weight in an industry already overpopulated with creative awards?

I sincerely don't know how Nirvana got inducted before deep purple, I am personally more of an Alice in chains/pearl jam fan myself.

KISS should have been in the HOF 20 years ago

    Cat Stevens
Yusuf Islam, born Steven Demetre Georgiou; 21 July 1948, commonly known by his former stage name Cat Stevens, is a British singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, humanitarian and education philanthropist. He is a prominent convert to Islam.
He is still my favorite singer and have many of his songs.

I do have to say though it only makes sencs that KISS get inducted since Rush did last since, after all, KISS taught Rush everything about giving the people a great show for there money.

  • sandra QC 2013/12/25 10:55:01
hahah.. No just a few songs by these bands, but I Love Black Sabbath, it`s my most favorite! Loved them then , still love them, listen to them everyday on my ipod! I have one kiss song I love ( Hard Luck woman) and I need to get a coupe of Nirvana.
    What is your favorite band?
  • QC sandra 2013/12/25 15:20:17
Right now Pearl Jam. Used to be Grateful Dead when Jerry was alive. I also love Black Sabbath. Reordered Evil Live again recently on CD since I had it on Tape like two decades ago. I actually liked it when Dio was singing for them. Ozzie was of course great and I loved him solo also.
  • sandra QC 2013/12/25 21:23:16
yes, I love Ozzie solo as well, and I also love Black Sabbath with Dio and Ozzie. Yesterday I was listening to Heaven and Hell over and over again...lol, ...And Fairies wear boots and War Pigs....but the whole Album was great. Ya I have so many of those tapes also hahaha..Hard to part with though. I liked Pearl Jam to when they first came out, I haven`t listened to them for awhile, I will check them out again later. I really liked their Grunge style, Eddie Vedder should have kept his hair long ! hahaha....
  • QC sandra 2013/12/26 03:00:59

  • Insightonsite 2013/12/24 13:59:10
All of them. But this dimwit didn't give that choice.
  • kelsieilesha 2013/12/24 12:33:03
    How about none?
Because it's not the "Rock and Roll Hall of FAME"... it's the "Rock and Roll Hall of SHAME".

They snub soooo many bands that should be inducted, and induct 'artists' that aren't even rock!!!
