Bravo, "American Idol" -- your newest judge might be just the thing you need to revitalize your sagging show. Sources tell Us Weekly that Nicki Minaj will join Mariah Carey as a judge on the singing show next season.
"I'm not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it," an insider tells the mag. "A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening." A second source says the rapper is "100% confirmed to judge American Idol."
The 29-year-old rapper's latest album, "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded," debuted at No. 1 in April. She is also known for her crazy costumes, controversial performances and popularity among young people, not to mention her big mouth -- all of which could help draw much-needed eyeballs to "Idol." In fact, Minaj joked last season that she'd love to replace Jennifer Lopez as a judge -- guess she was serious! Do you think she's a good pick?

My question is...???Can she sing anything more than rap???
What is her musical resume; not on paper but actual performances to a public setting, where folks can really step up to say; "I was there and I know she knows all the in and outs of music, singing, voice, pitches,octaves and all the avenues in song and singing and every genre of music; not just rap and r&b.;
Idol is going down the drain because the people you're putting as judges are making the focus on themselves and promoting themselves and not promoting the show.
Why would you have the judges performing on the show??? You're shooting the show in the foot; because your over the top judges are there for the money first, promoting themselves second, performing there showing up the contestants (are they wholeheartedly interested in the show and the contestants??? Or, are they there for themselves and the money???
Why did you guys run Randy Jackson off??? He was the glue to the show in holding it together; because he could've ran the show by himself until you guys added other judges that were permanent for the show.
It would have been nice if you'd kept Randy, add Mariah, add a rocker and add someone like Justin Timberlake to your team; then your show would be set for

Nicki Minaj as a judge??? look at my lipz' :(( "Hell No" :(( "Don't Do It" Please Save Yourselves Money, Time and Grief" Inhouse hatin' and fightin' between two divas won't work and besides; nicki minaj is very 'Nauseating' to watch over two to three minutes. Please for American Idol's sake' get Randy back in his spot because the public as a whole, identify with the dawg man.
