She clearly doesn't care what people think, she is her own person and unique, that is why she is a star. It is nice to recognize fans because they make having a popular career possible, but she is still just a person, and probably is just wanting to continue doin what she loves for a long period of time. She has enough money I'm sure, se doesn't have to sugar coat how she feels, it's her personality that gained her popularity in the first place. Her comment doesnt specifically curse anyone except those who are potentially irrational enough to insist she sacrifice her throat for a few more shows short term.

There wasn't a third option that said "She went overboard but those crybabies deserved to get yelled at." I would've picked that one if it was available. I hate American/Canadian/whatever Idol and all reality TV and all those harsh judges slamming on people, reducing them to tears and kicking them off the show, out of the contest. It's not my idea of good entertainment.
