The rumors of the feud started the second Nicki Minaj’s name got thrown into the ring as a potential “American Idol” judge. At the time, TMZ reported that Mariah Carey, who had already signed on for the job, hung up on an "Idol" producer when she heard the news. This weekend, it was confirmed that Minaj will be joining the panel. Now TMZ is, once again, telling fans that the two divas are already at each other’s throats.
Taping of Season 13 began on Sunday in New York City and a source told the online gossip column that the two singers were talking over each other and interrupting the other’s critiques. TMZ’s insider said, "These girls just don't like each other."
On Twitter, the pair cryptically wrote about the first set of auditions. When a Nicki fan asked how it went she replied, “It was...interesting...” Mariah simply stated, “several classic moments so far lol.” Mariah did recently respond to reporters about how the two are getting along saying, "What tension? There's no tension!"
It is unclear what the alleged strain is even all about. Some say it’s just professional rivalry, while others claim Carey was promised she’d be the only female on the panel. Still, more think the feud is a completely fabricated attempt to get ratings. Whatever the history, the diva-off is sure to bring viewers to "American Idol."
In the meantime, if she doesn´t want to be called a "crazy b*itch", then she should just quit acting like this!
And, yeah, I would be OK with someone calling me out if I was behaving like that.
And before Mariah said that, then Nicki said that, and before that... (btw, before a clip is released, no one will know for sure).
Hey, the woman is approaching thirty. She should be old enough to take the high road if someone offends her (if she was indeed the one who was offended first).. Instead she insists on acting like a kid.
Kids learn to control their behavior as early as in elementary school. Some learn it later (junior high, high school and even college). By the time you´re thirty you should have it under control. That especially goes for celebrities. If you can´t handle people saying rude things (if that was indeed what started this argument), then you should get out of the entertainment business.
At the very least, if offended enough, get up and walk away, and then talk it over later. Going ballistic never works.
You had to create an account to respond to this, huh?
What self respecting woman of color would ALLOW those words to come across their lips? Only someone who is so enraptured in $$'s that they will sell their soul to make a buck. Minaj is a dirtbag who is taking damage control for her words that mind you had absolutely NOTHING to do with satire. Every blog I can get my hands on to denounce this fruitcake, I intend to do just that. She is a joke and the young people who parrot her words are being sent a message that would make their forefather's and mother's who died for the freedoms minaj takes for granted to turn over in their graves. So don't tell me to stop being insecure. Tell that freak minaj to get her political act together.
