Meet SodaHead's new favorite artist of the week! Last week, we gave you a double dose of Twin Shadow and Hindu Pirates, and this week we can't get enough of British singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka.
I've always felt like I was born a couple of decades too late and that I missed out on the golden era of music. I'm partial to 60s and 70s music, a time before auto-tune, when music was much more raw and soulful. That's why finding a musician like Michael Kiwanuka fills me with such joy. It's rare to find an artist with the soul of one of the greats (Otis Redding perhaps) whose music can sound vintage and modern at the same time. His ability to do just that makes Kiwanuka a gem.
"Tell Me A Tale" is my favorite song off of Kiwanuka's debut album Home Again. Even the hardest of hearts can be softened by his smooth voice and honest yearnings of "Lord I need good, good loving." Don't we all? Watch the video below and let us know what you're listening to this week.

+5Heeeey baby! Tell me R&B; is coming back! Lift us out of the catacombs of rap/hip hop misery, murder and degradation and let a new day shine! I love the deep rich style of Seal but I can see this cat's inspired.

Michael Kiwanuka is great, though! I think I'm gonna listen to him along with all the other things =]
its catchy
Fantasic Album from a master. (see Mott The Hoople)
