Meet SodaHead's new favorite artist of the week! Last week we introduced you to Los Angeles' Saint Motel and this week we're pleased to present Birdy. Birdy is only 15 years old, has a record deal and is playing alongside the likes of Neil Young and Stevie Wonder next month at Outside Lands in San Francisco. Pretty impressive.

But even more impressive is that instead of taking the typical Disney tween / pop star route -- not that there's anything wrong with that -- she got her start when she was 12 by recording original songs and coming up with innovative cover songs. Now, before her 16th birthday, her sound is more mature and developed than many artists in their 20's. Check out Birdy's cover of Phoenix's 1901 and look out for original material from her hopefully early next year. What are you listening to this week?

True, but you have to see that life is difficult for both young and old nowadays it doesn't have to be the old "Oh yeah you're too young! I have to pay bills", there are problems for the young, just ask me, or other young people.

Many Japanese video game soundtrack composer's(want to knowthe the specific artists just ask) and today's video game soundtracks are Tue musical masterpieces ...I believe they should be in the Grammys or whatever the good award is...I don't really watch those...Yes I can see why they are important to musicians...the shows just bore me.

I go to his sister Lucy's place 'Lulu's' over in Gulf shores every weekend I can to have a cheeseburger. Jimmy comes by once in a while and bangs out a few tunes. It's cool.
