Natalie Portman Marries Dancer: Can a Hollywood Marriage Last?

I'm only saying no and going for the celebrity average of short marriages but hope it does.

There marrage has as much chance as any of us winning the lottery.

We can only hope so. It is very tough!

It is possible, however unlikely. I do not know either of them personally, so I can't begin to estimate their chance of happily ever after. It takes only one thing for a marriage to last... true love. If they love each other then they will never even joke about a divorce as such a thing would be unthinkable. True love means that they love each other more than themselves, seeking hapiness of the other before happiness for themselves. It is simple, but very few people have ever known it. It is also stupid, as it is selfless, and not many people are willing to be that stupid. It goes against human nature to love. Humans are selfish, greedy, and dishonest first and formost. How can something so evil ever learn about love? It should be obvious that as a race, humans are evil. Though some rare few... know love. I wish the best for Natalie and Benjamin. May they, a beautiful new family, know love.

There's always a chance that they can, but historically most won't. The late Karl Malden was one really big exception.

She seems more grounded than most of the Hollywood celebritites. I mean Meryl Streep has been nominated for more things than most other actresses yet she's still married and you almost never hear of her having marrital problems.

They have a beautiful baby boy and I think they will stay married, but who knows. I saw the movie "The Professional" not long ago and Natalie Portman (young and I think it was her first movie) was phenomenal in it. Good Luck to them both!!
