Since the original "Myst" came out in 1993, it's become one of the most iconic computer games of all time, earning a prominent place in the personal gaming history books along with "Doom" and "Civilization." It was a simple game that had players solve intricate puzzles throughout a handful of impressive, thematic worlds. The game spawned four sequels, three books, a massively multiplayer online game, and helped popularize the point-and-click adventure genre.

Maximum Family Games announced in a press release that it would release "Myst 3D" for the Nintendo 3DS -- another remake of the classic PC game. But in 3D. G4 reports it will be based on the 2000 remake, "realMyst," which had one extra world and updated graphics. It's currently scheduled for a March 27, 2012 release date.

Yes

I loved Myst, though the first one is best cause you have no idea what's going on, which makes part of the game trying to figure out what's happening. I loved going to different ages and trying to put the pieces together myself as to what was really going on. The later Myst games lost that, and the puzzles were incredibly hard.... but the first Myst is, in my opinion, the best of them all.

I loved the Myst series. It was just so beautiful. The music was amazing, the graphics stunning, and I just loved the steampunk-esque puzzle devices.

it's a very odd game with no action... but some good puzzle solvers and a good brain buster. i enjoyed it

I love this game, it's the only one I actually do love as it requires tons of brain cells if played on the computer. No cheats, no special codes, you just have to keep trying. I still haven't beat the sequels so when I get bored I give them another go. My brother played PS version, it was a lot easier.

I played on a Mac ages (make that eons) ago, and thought it was history as Cyan never updated it to run on OS X. Recently, I gladly bought the App for my iPhone. Fun!

Does it have anything to do with the song "Mysty" as recorded by Johnnie Mathis? If so, I know that Clint Eastwood enjoys playing. He made a movie in 1971 entitled "Play Mysty For Me"! It was not in 3-D!
