Quantcast

My mini-dachshund dog has taken on some of the characteristics of my cat. Please explain to me how the cat dominated the dog?

Examples: The dog and the cat lay on a towel I provide for them in the window on a table where the sun is brightest, both on their backs, legs open with hind paws touching their bodies in a "V" shape, just basking in the sun. The dog also tucks his paws under his breast when he lies down and doses like a cat, They always take naps together. They are about the same size. Is this normal behavior?

Without knowing their ages, they 'borrow' traits from one another. Evidently your pets are just grooving in a dance of life. lol

Yeh, they do. I envy their groove. I don't know how they got there because I have always associated dogs with being more dominant than cats. Wish my relationships had gone as well as my dog and cat.

My animals are mixed up, but love each other. They will lay together, lick each other and share food/water.

My dog rubs up against people's legs, my cat barks at people and animals outside.

My cat completely rules over my dog, and he is older and has been a part of the famaily a lot longs.
