MTV, the home of canceled reality TV sensation "Jersey Shore," has announced its plans to broadcast a one-hour special, to raise money to help restore the Jersey Shore. "Restore the Shore" will be broadcast on November 15 at 11PM, from MTV's Times Square studio.

According to USA Today, the special will feature cast members from the show, as well as special guests who will be announced at a later date. Money will go towards the restoration of Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The popular boardwalk town was hit particularly badly by Sandy, and was a frequent feature of the show.
MTV will be partnering with Architecture for Humanity, a non-profit organization that helps out communities in need with design and construction services. Do you think what MTV is doing is a good deed? Or is it just for the ratings?

Good Deed+7Even if they are just doing it for ratings, at least the victims will get help. I don't see any downsides for participating in good charities.

Seeing as these people are watched by many and some people really like them, their effort is appreciated...even by those who've never watched their show and resent the way they portray New Jersians...we're not like that. ;)
We could really use their help but I don't think they could handle it!!
God hated that show so much, he sent a Hurricane to take out Jersey Shore.
I've either been up too long, have been working too hard or am storm-weary or something bc between the tears of what we're living through, that's still funny to me. Thanks!
: )
I swear, if I worked at MTV when the show was popular and was maybe 35 years younger, I'd have to hit all five of those plunp ladies at least once. Ha.
