Call it a toss up
It's got to be this duo. Both were great separately but together they were the best.
lets see where do I start...
of course Members of of the Beatles and Rolling stones
Jimmy Page of Led Zepp and members of Pink Floyd
Ozzy Ozbourne and Tony for the upbringing of heavy Metal in 1970
Soooo much more! :D
If I had to pick one Beatle who was the most influential... I'd say Paul (not just because I love him to death). Many current artists/songwriters today list Paul McCartney as one of their influences. He may not be the GREATEST composer of all time (I'd give that to Mozart) but I'd say he definitely had a lot of variety and he CERTAINLY had the most worldwide distribution and success. Paul also doesn't get enough credit for his bass playing. I recall John saying something like: "Paul was one of the most innovative bass players ever.... half the stuff going on now is ripped off from his time with the Beatles." I find that amusing because Paul once said, "None of us wanted to be the bass player because to us, he was always the fat guy that stands in the back" or something like that. lol okay, I'm rambling :P
Don't worry... Paul approves!! :)
