"Modern Family" is a huge hit -- a fact that has clearly dawned on the blazing-hot ensemble cast. In other words, they want more money. Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara have filed a lawsuit against 20th Century Fox TV, demanding their contracts be declared null and void,
TMZ reports.
But why? So they can negotiate for more money, of course. (Ed O'Neill is not named on the suit, but he's reportedly siding with his fellow cast members.) According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox offered to bump the cast's salary by $150,000 per episode plus a $50,000 per episode bonus for season 4; $200,000 per episode for season 5, $225,000 for season 6, and up to $325,000 for an anticipated season 9.
But that, apparently, wasn't enough. The actors also want to be able to pursue other acting jobs beyond "Modern Family" and Fox. Do you think the "Modern Family" cast is entitled to more money? Or are they just getting greedy? Hey ... it worked for the cast of "Friends" ...
