The 2009 MLB Stars and Stripes cab for Memorial Day has been redesigned for 2009. In 08, the cap had an image of Cleveland's Chief Wahoo with stars and stripes emblazoned on it. However there was some controversy over whether it was appropriate to "endorse the logo with the elements of the American flag and the ideals that it represents." Meaning they didn't think it was a good idea to have the American Flag with a symbol that represents Indians or Native Americans... more stupid controversy. What do you think? Do you think the new cap is lame?

If they didn't want to use Wahoo, then don't make it the stupid block "C", use the script "I". It would've been a much better choice.

i think people should get over it. it's a stupid logo for a baseball team. i like the red white and blue logo. the red C on the blue cap looks ordinary. the indian on the logo was meant to be a warrior...a fighter. are native americans THAT sensitive that they can't deal with it? we CALL them native americans don't we? they live in america don't they? why can't the image be combined with the american flag.
