Mitt Romney's campaign told to "Stop using our song"...

pepper5419 2012/08/19 17:49:52
A band called the Silversun Pickups sent the Romney campaign a letter asking them not to play their song "Panic Switch at rallies." Has anyone ever heard of the band till today? In this day and age of cost cutting going on wouldn't it be best in some cases to let someone use your music to boost sales.I don't agree on most of Mitt Romney's politics but,I would rather make a name for my band and increase record sales. What do you think?

Yes, I heard of them before today. I have both "Carnavas" and "Swoon" and as creators of their copyrighted work, they absolutely have a say in who gets to make a public performance of their music.

Well, it's just like the new coffee shop here in Virginia that didn't want Biden to come there. What's the dif?? It's their free speech to not want their music associated with his campaign.
