Actual lyric: Drop like flies and empathize. I heard: Drop your flies and improvise. Green Day:Suffocate. And also Tiny Dancer by Elton John. Every time I hear "Hold me close there Tony Danza"

Blinded By the Light by Manfred Mann. I always thought he said wrapped up like a douche in the middle of the night but the lyrics are revved up like a deuce, a runner in the night.

My grandpa always thought the lyrics to "The Wall" were:
"Hey, T-Shirts, leave those kids alone."

The song is Louie Louie by the Kingsman and I cannot repeat what people often thought it said which was pretty obscene. I don't know to this day whether that was fact or fiction.

That's a funny one. There's a story behind it. He was supposed to be singing "In The Garden Of Eden" but was too stoned so they left it that way! :o)

Yes, I know. It is also a favorite song of several real life serial killers.

Ironically, the song’s origins are far removed from the crypto-blasphemist metal beast it became. “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” was written by the Iron Butterfly’s lead singer and keyboard player Doug Ingle. Ingle, the son of a church organist, had originally written it as a short little country folk song called “In the Garden of Eden”.

“‘In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida’ was like a country ballad when we first heard it,” says Lee Dorman, “but by the time the band got done with it… well, you can see what happened.” Dorman and Bushy had gone to Ingle’s house to hear this little religio-country track but, as Dorman puts it, “Doug had been up for a day and a half. Plus he had been drinking some wine.”

The song Surrender by Cheap Trick didn't make a whole lot of sense to me at first, especially one line in particular. Then I found out it was changed, and the original lyric made sense...
