    She looks perfectly fine.
The only person who can decide if someone is too thin (most of the time) is that person's doctor. We don't know what she eats, when she exercises, or anything about her overall health.

Miley Cyrus doesn't look as skinny as SOME female celebrities, but she's heading in that direction. She used to be a nice, healthy weight, with a good figure. Why do these women always want to look like sticks? Sure, couture clothing looks better on runway models and clothes hangers, but for God's sake, keep a little meat on your bones, Miley!

i dont know of any woman that wants to look like a "stick", but they do aspire to being small, but thats something God put in us, the same way He put in men the desire to be big--it ws a way of insuring that the two sexes get together. Also, I see no indication of Miley "headed in that direction; her legs and arms look very healthy, and she has curves. shse looks VERY healthy.

I've just noticed, over the awards season, that most female celebrities are starting to look alarmingly thin, some of them almost emaciated. I know Miley Cyrus is attributing her recent weight loss to a gluten allergy, and that may in fact be the case. If it's true, I hope she's able to get her metabolism back on track, and I'm sure she can by eating a healthy, gluten-free diet. However, I do think Miley needs to be careful of becoming too skinny. IMO, some women in the public eye tend to suffer more from body dysmorphic disorder than regular females, and I think a lot of it is the pressure to stay thin. Also, the public is at fault here. When perfectly lovely girls like Kelly Clarkson or Jessica Simpson are vilified in the rag mags about their weight gain, it sends a terrible message not only to THEM, but to young women everywhere. Besides, it's been my experience that most men like a little meat with their taters! Thin is in, but fat is where it's at! [haha] Thanks for weighing (?) in on this subject, and have a beautiful day, Jo!

I agree, but we are all responsible for our OWN self esteem, and if its at the point where we recieve messages that we're supoosed to aspire to what they do, then thats OUR problem. Miley, and every other woman in the world as well, has a right to have the kind of body she wants, and I think she's doing just fine. we dont even know if she wants to lose more weight. and I agree that men like a little meat with thier taters, so its a good thing for her that she's got it! besides, most women when doing whatever to alter thier appearance arent doing it for men, their doing it for themselves. thanks for your input as well:))

I agree that we're all responsible for our OWN self-esteem, and we shouldn't allow anyone else to dictate what we weigh, or how we look in general. However, in the showbiz world, it seems that women are much more susceptible to criticism from the public and others about their appearance. IMO, strength of character, a good sense of humor, intelligence, a good personality, etc. are much more important qualities in a person than the fact that they may need to lose/gain a few pounds, or have cosmetic surgery, or whatever. Character counts! [BTW, the flowers in your avatar are SO beautiful! Tulips are one of my favorite spring flowers. They just look so happy!]

yeah, women are defintely more vulnerable to criticism in hollywood, it just bothers me when we put these women down because of how something is going to affect the self-esteem of thier fans--I dont feel they should be held responsible for the emotional demons of others:) and yes, character is most definetly more important! And thanks for the compliment on my avatar:))

People are thin, fat and everything in between. If they are eating healthy and exercising regularly they can be thinner than she looks.

    AND... who cares!!!!!

She's thin, there's a difference. Most of these actresses work out all the time anyway. And I find it odd that nobody complained about incredibly thin women in the 80s, like Gwyneth Paltrow, but now it's so awful that they're not fat!

I'm that size, what's wrong with it? I can feel my hip bones but can't see my ribs, I deem that to be healthy, and she's got the same body type by the looks of it. By calling her anorexic, you're going to make other normal sized girls either think themselves too fat or too thin, both of which can be dangerous. Stop creating problems.

    So I am confused...
first they complain that she is too fat for tv or too fat to be a music singer, but now that she looks extremely health/within her weight range they are claiming she has an eating disorder?
It's no wonder why girls be they stars or not are suffering from not only body image problems but eating disorders as well since every media outlet/critic out there calls a healthy weight woman over weight or a woman they have accused of being fat anorexic when they lose weight to be more healthier!

She is not too thin, she is a normal size for an active person in their early 20's. Good grief, no one likes her, so even if she is anorexic, who cares?

I don't like her, as she is a certifiable skank, but she doesn't deserve this drubbing.

Looks perfect. She probably has quite a few more pounds to go before her BMI would be considered underweight.

Speaking from personal experience, anorexia is an easy trap to fall into, but just because someone wants to be thin and fit does not mean that a person has an eating disorder. There is a difference between spiraling out of control and finding a healthy weight you like.

She has broad shoulders which enhances her small waist making her look maybe a bit thinner than someone else of the same height and weight.

Might be, I just typed in 'anorexics" and she appeared. BUT, we have all seen models that thin or worse, and Miley is nowhere near that, so, she cannot be an anorexic./
