Miley Cyrus Reportedly Wants a Baby 'Quickly': Is She Too Young?

We were shocked to learn that 19-year-old Miley Cyrus is engaged, let alone thinking about having babies! But according to Us Weekly, she and fiancé Liam Hemsworth are already thinking about having kids, just a month after he popped the question.

"Miley and Liam really want to have a baby quickly," a Cyrus family source tells the mag. "They are both mature and ready for this," a source adds. "Miley is 19 going on 40." We've heard rumblings that daddy Billy Ray Cyrus is hoping for a LONG engagement, so we're not sure he'd agree with this "family source."

"Hunger Games" actor Hemsworth, 22, is on the young side himself, but perhaps he's been inspired by his brother Chris Hemsworth, who welcomed his daughter India in May. Do you think Miley is too young to have a baby?

I had my first at 20 (pregnant at 19). Best thing that ever happened to me. A 19 year old can easily raise a child, plus she'll be married and financially stable.

My grandparents were married at 19 and had their first child then. They were farmers with no where near as much financial stability. Now 8 kids who are now all grown, married, no divorces, and all have stables lives, 7 with their own kids, and my grandparents still happily married.
Of course they probably had a great deal more maturity than these two. Still, 19 and stable financially isn't exactly a bad starting point, as far as I know neither of them are know for substance abuse or law breaking. Besides, they're only thinking about having a kid. In terms of starting a family 1 or 2 years could be considered 'quickly'.

I agree, I was more stating that a 19 CAN raise a child well, as many people seemed convinced that they couldn't. They are financially stable, and as I don't know them personally to know if they're mature or not and I haven't seen them in the news for any major screw-up, so it's possible they could actually be ready for children.

It's not that she's too young.

It's that she's not mature enough. I don't know what idiot actually called Miley Cyrus mature. And I'd be willing to bet it has something to do with a belief that if she has a baby, she won't lose Liam. Someone should tell her that her best shot on keeping him is to grow up. No more shorts so short that her butt is hanging out. No more outfits meant to get the paparazzi interested.

I'm not sure what he sees in her - maybe he thinks she'll calm down when they are married - but I see insecurity in her rush to have a baby.

She should be in college and having fun there. A nice male companion, which she has right now is good too. Marriage and children should come later. I am a young person and I think that she should enjoy being young as it lasts.

She not too young age wise. I was 19 when I had my first with my wonderful husband. Maturity wise she might be too young but at least she has financial stablity and is about to get married instead of becoming an unwed, poverty stricken, welfare mother.

Well no she not young she past 18 an adult. She 19 she can make her own decisions on her own now. No need to tell her not to have a baby at her age. it her own choice and if she chooses to make it happen that way then let her be she all grown up now not like she in Disney anymore. Come on people get the picture that she old enough she freaking 19 already and looks damn good. I wanna see a baby of hers. That would be cool. Hopefully the engagement lasts for a really long time like her dad wants it to be.

I think she should give her marriage time first because its not just having a baby its starting a family. And of course she's financially stable but she's still a bit of a wild child so she should wait until her "strong mother figure" instincts kick in, but only she will know.
