I find it interesting, that you, who claims to have never even had sex, let alone children is an expert in parenting.

Just an observation.

You probably don't care, and frankly I don't give a damn if you do or do not, but I find it incredibly annoying that some little teenager, who isn't mature enough to have intercourse, let alone a child would deem themselves fit to tell a parent how to raise theirs.

Tell me how the hell a little butt hurt twit like you would know the first thing about "good parenting" because if you are a product a "good parents" I'm not sure I want to see bad ones.

I would be so embarrassed if my child talked to another adult, an actual parent, the way that you are, given that they NOTHING on the subject.

Thank you. I wasn't trying to say that anyone can raise a child. My point was that just because someone is 19 does not mean that they aren't capable.

i was 19 and like you my attitude toward raising a child was the same. i have 2 awesome young men now. :)

I don't think it's easy for EVERY 19 year old. (I definitely would not be ready financially nor would I have the time).

However, my parents were 16 and 19 when they had me and raised me and my brother (who came along less than 2 years later) entirely on their own. They had barely been living a few months in the U.S., my mom had no family/friends and didn't speak a word of English, we were stuck renting cramped apartments and lived only off my dad's weekly minimum wage income.
Yet, despite it being hard in the beginning,I can honestly say that I had a wonderful childhood and they did a better job raising me than most of the other older parents I know. As a child I thought I lived the perfect life. :)

Being ready depends on the individual's own financial circumstances, emotional maturity, and how well they handle responsibility.

In regards to Miley, she obviously can afford to raise a child, but only she can know if she is emotionally and mentally prepared to become a parent.

Btw, you seem like a wonderful mom. :) I get tired of seeing too many young mothers full of resentment taking it out on their children.

i raised two boys on my own, at times it was hard, but mostly fine. if you dont do well with stress, dont have kids. i was 19 first pregnancy, but some of us mature quickly during the pregnancy. anyone can have kids and "raise" them. but that does not mean your a good parent. if someone wants a kid they should be prepared to give up their career, partying, spare time, etc for at least the first 4yrs. . Raise the child themselves until pre-school, then go back to doing whatever while kiddy at school. no nannies no carers no ongoing babysitters.

If she wasnt a role model for young girls it wouldnt matter but little kids STILL look up to her, an having a baby at a young age will send the wrong message i think. Though atleast she is older then 16 and engaged, she could handle it but I also believe she should enjoy being married for a few years first.

You live and you learn. I think she knows she has made mistakes before, since then I think she has matured. Besides, I even said in my comment she should wait a little longer! I respect your opinion, but if you don't know her personally you can't say that she would be a terrible mother :). I don't know her so maybe she would be a terrible mother, but she could be great too!

She's got an established career, money, shelter, etc. etc. She's got adults around her that can help, if she wants to have a kid she can have a kid.

Not really. While it may be a bit of an exaggeration on my part, there are a lot of women that are or have been young mothers. Hell, there are girls younger than Miley getting pregnant.

And what is that supposed to mean? Just because a woman gives birth does not make her a mother (a good one at least)!!!

I think alot of people on this site are deluded. I do not look up to young mothers, if anything I look up to people who have enough of a brain to wait until a decent age and time in their lives to have children, the fact that you cannot keep your legs closed is not my problem!!!
