some tattos are fun and makes you laugh but this is just a boring old message that is going to be for the rest of your life

haven't seen a tattoo yet that improved the looks of its owner. I've seen some that were uglier than sin, but none that were beautiful and definitely none that added to natural beauty.

i think for a tattoo it has to be beautiful it should have some sort of hidden meaning...that way it's not like when someone sees it and everyone is like oh i like that i know what it means..a little mystery is beautiful

kind of. The reason I get tattooed is because it means something to me. My most recent was done because I am proud of all my kids have accomplished so I wanted to honor them with a tattoo incorporating their initials.
A quote if you don't know the author is sometimes boring and rarely inspiring out of context. What I think is boring is the American obsession with celebrity and thinking that they are special.

It depends on the tattoo. I suppose as long as it's well-done and means something to the individual who has it, it can be beautiful. On the other hand...there are some morons...

It sort of depends on a few things. It's gotta be a good quote, inked in a beautiful fashion, in an appropriate spot, on the appropriate person for the quote.

There was a time when people that had them were considered rebels, these days even the geeks that the rebels used to mock have them. So, really what's the point of having something to try be different when everyone is doing it?

I may eventually get one of my cat, however I'm not sure about that as I'm not sure I can justify the cost.

If it means something to you then that's all that matters. Who cares whether other people find it boring. Miley didn't get it to impress us strangers, she did it because the quote resonated with her. People who get tattoos simply because of their vanity are the ones who want to impress us strangers. People who get tattoos of quotes and such do it for themselves. In the end, if you like it then who cares what other people think.

The problem with quotes is you'll read them, and think "Hmm... inspirational" or "ha... Amusing" for the first couple of times, and after that it's more of a "oh look, That again..." As everyone thinks when looking at motivational posters, or humorous t-shirts.

Then there is the irrelevance of the quote.

I don't know why she has that quote on her arm, Jeez shes a huge puzzle. I just dislike her so much...
And im planning on being a tattoo artist when im older. Why the hell shouldnt people get tattoos. Im just wanting to live my dream, and if a tattoo is done right its a beautiful piece of art...
My dad basically disowned me because hes a religious nut (because of my want to be an artist since i was 6). Also Im pretty sure Jesus got some ink too.
Least ill be a friggin epic grandmother, with some awesome stories and my grandchildren will look at them and ask me about them.

Tattoos are becoming old news. These actresses do everything but act.

This is just my personal opinion, and I don't expect everyone to agree with it by any means, but tattoos on men are one thing, and they're something entirely different on women. Anyone, man or woman, can overdo it. I have a few myself I did as a teenager when I was young and foolish, and probably wouldn't have any had I made the choice later in life. That said, they aren't a big deal. I don't waste time regretting them, they're just part of my life experience this time around. And though I get the whole "body art" thing, and have many friends who sport a lot of tattoos, I hate to see them on beautiful women as I think it mars their natural beauty and serves as an ugly distraction (and a detraction). Some say they look "trashy" on women, and I can't entirely disagree with that perspective, though my own objections do focus more on what I already stated. It's sort of like taking a brand new, shining Ferrari and putting bumper stickers or logo decals all over it, or building a beautiful home and then "tagging" it with graffitti. But if she was going to mark herself up with something anyway, Mileys' choice of a quote from one of our greatest presidents at least reflects good taste and wisdom.

Who gives a crap if we find them boring; quite often they have meaning to the person that gets them done. That is enough.

Tattoos are not attractive,your doing nothing but marking up your "Temple"! You should be worrying about contracting "Aids" from those "Needles" they be using to give those "Tattoos"! Real Talk!

Tatoos are for sheeple. baaahh, baaahhh, baahhh. Let's see, how can I be like everyone else? I know let's get a tattoo. Gravity always wins folks.

I just recently got a tattoo of a zombie on my forearm why? Why the eff not, ill be the cool grandma with zombies on her arm who cares!

Tattoos, in my opinion, are just plain stupid.

We are not some ancient Indian tribe with tats deeply rooted in our religious culture.

But - - that's just me...

One thing for sure - - Tats are Art.. and there is Good Art.. and Bad Art. Unfortunately, way too many people opt for the bad art, when getting a tat!

I also love it when people have spelling and typo mistakes in their tats'.

What makes a good tattoo is if it has meaning to the person who has it. Not if it's entertaining for other people to look at. I really don't care what Miley, or anyone else, does with their body. People are so hung up on what female celebs do with their bodies, and I'm sick of it. It's her body, her life, her problem. Get over it.

It depends on the artist doing the tattoo. Different tattoo artists have different levels of skill. Tattoo's date back as far a human history, the celts, the Egyptians, Maori, Scythians, they shouldn't be associatedn with one minor celebrity.
