Miley Cyrus has splashed out on a $75,000 car for her 16th birthday. 'Hannah Montana' star - who reportedly earned $18.2 million last year - is treating herself to a "fully loaded" white convertible Mercedes Benz to mark the milestone on November 23.

Are you young stars today too irresponsible with their money?

She has the money, she can spend it however she wants.
Leonardo Dicaprio did the same thing... What do you think about him?

There are some responsible young stars out there. Look at the Harry Potter actors--have you heard anything about them spending thousands of dollars on unnecessary things? The worst thing one of them did was buy an ice cream truck--Rupert Grint--and I'm pretty sure that doesn't cost 75,000 dollars (or pounds in his case). Some people have it right. I mean, why do you need to spend 75,000 on a car anyway? Does it drive for you?

Younger celebrities, like Miley Cyrus, should save their money. What happens if her career falls through? They all turn into whores. Just like Brittney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton.

She has earned it. She works harder than most of us and is treating herself. There is a difference between treat and irresponsibility. Lets see how she turns out before we start smearing her.

Strictly speaking, it may not be "irresponsible" but, as someone who scoured the neighborhood for empty coke bottles just to get their deposit value when I was a kid, I'll never understand why any youngster should have access to that much money at such an early age. Okay, you argue, she "earned it" by working in a highly exclusive arena of endeavor. But this is an arena notorious for chewing up and spitting out its own, especially the young, the immature and the naive. Put the money away, give her an allowance that keeps her head out of the clouds and let her and others like her have the childhood that years later they will sorely miss.

wow for my 16th birthday I got a 67 galaxie 500 with no reverse. 75,000 could go along way towards a collage education. But then again she will never have to get a real job in her lifetime. Not saying that she doesn't work hard for her money. It just reinforces how material we are as a society. Not very responsible of her or her father for allowing it to happen.

It's her money and she can do what she wants to with it. But I don't want to hear it if she ever runs out. Which would be sad. She made more money in one year that I could make in 10.

I saw this so-called "star" on Leno once with her Dad. It was like listening to a punk with her "John". Really revolting. This girl cannot sing at all. If you equate her talent with transportation type, I would recommend a 20 year old bicycle with a broken wheel!

    Yes they are irresponsible.
But if you had $18.2 million, what would you do with it?
At least get yourself a decent car (I mean a car from 2008) and not a sh*t car from 2001.

What I really want is for celebrities to stop being so fucking overrated that people have to snoop around them 24-7. They make such a big deal about everything. That's exactly why I hate conformist America.

if this person cared for all the fans like she thinks they are, she would help out the people with donations, and helping the community, give back to all the people who think she is worth something. that will show everyone that you truly care about something more than yourself.

me! some people don't value cars as other people do. i personally love cars and really like sportscars. but some people tell me i need to re-evaluate my priorities. maybe thats ok for them but having a nice car is important to me. and worth way over 75,000. i dont have 75,000, but i'm saving!

If they are under 18 then their parents are the ones that are irresponsible. If I am 16 and my parents offered me a car at that price I would not turn it down. That is what is wrong with the young actors today they have control of their money where the parents should be parents and set up some kind of spending for them. Sorry but I blame the parents on this one. I know she made the money but she is not old enough to know how to handle it. Does not sound like the parents do either. Most young actors are just spoiled brats caused from their up bringing. money handle sound parents young actors spoiled brats caused bringing

What happened to the earnings of child actors being put into a trust fund until they are 21? If the government has not been enforcing this, they should and make the age at least 25. That way the money is there when needed.

    Just My Opinion.
