Miley, Miley, Miley.
We were willing to look past the pole dancing, the salvia, the underage drinking and the tattoos, but smoking cigarettes is just bad news. Especially when you're a teenage role model.
Cyrus, 18, was photographed lighting up several cigarettes in Michigan on Monday as she spent the day with her boyfriend, 21-year-old Liam Hemsworth, according to The Daily Mail.

This is in spite of the fact that she vowed to "never smoke" in her 2009 autobiography "Miles to Go."
"I always say that for me, smoking would be like smashing my guitar and expecting it to play. I'd never do that to my voice, not to mention the rest of my body," she wrote.
But Miley has competition in the setting-a-bad-influence department from 23-year-old Rihanna, who recently made headlines (and upset fans) by Tweeting that she starved herself before her Esquire cover shoot.

cali 2011/08/03 16:28:09Miley Cyrus+19God! So many choices how can you only choose one? All of those celebrities are bad role models. They're all slutty and nasty whores who just want attention. The jersey shore......I don't even count them as celebrities. Anyone can take off their shirts and get in a drunken fight. Sometimes I'm ashamed to be an American with people like these.

Seriously, I am tired of all this drama about Miley Cyrus. She hasn't been relevant for a good three years, yet people still act like she's still this huge role model for kids. I mean, honestly. Disney's moved her out. And it's not like she's illegally smoking cigarettes or salvia or getting tattoos. She's a legal adult. Leave her be and let her do whatever the hell she wants.
no comparrison.
And none of these celebrities should be considered actual role models.
Unfortunately, I clicked Ke$ha without much thought, and upon weighing the options in my head, I've realized that Miley is worse. I wish I could change my vote.
Ke$ha doesn't try to be a teenage role model, does she? Her songs are all about drinking and clubbing and having sex. Granted teenagers do LIKE her (or hate her. Or just like her for the music, like me), but she isn't on the same scale as Miley.
Miley stars in a Disney show. If anyone hears her name they'll probably immediately think of Disney and Hannah Montana. Her songs are child-friendly (from what I've heard) and she aims everything she does at the Disney demographic, doesn't she? So when she smokes, does drugs, gets tattoos and drinks alcohol, she sends the message to said demographic that things like that are okay. If you're going to do those things, don't be a role model of any kind. The teenagers of this generation are screwed up enough.
