Mila Kunis Says She Would Try Internet Dating: Would You?

Any girl who dreams of being a movie star may want to think twice. Take Mila Kunis, for example. The 28-year-old actress recently admitted in an interview with Glamour magazine that she rarely dates. So it’s no wonder why she says if she wasn’t a celebrity, she’d definitely be looking for love online.

mila kunis

The jet-setting young star is never in one place long enough to find the right guy. But she conceded that she’d much rather find a guy on the Internet than go cruising bars for one. Of course, those people who believe the rumors that Kunis is secretly dating her former “That ‘70s Show” co-star Ashton Kutcher aren’t buying her sad romance tales.

The “Ted” actress said since she can’t sign up for an account herself, she uses her matchmaking skills instead. The actress spends time on sites like OKCupid, helping friends craft clever quips to potential suitors. And even though Kunis isn’t ready to take the plunge and go “shopping” for a mate on the Internet, other celebrities have given it a go. It didn’t work for Jenny McCarthy, but “Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba found her fiancé on eHarmony. Would you try Internet dating?

You got that right. But then I've ended up with alot of crackpots I've met face to face. My mother even said it will be a very slim chance to find a decent guy. All I run into is controllers and manipulators, or they're great guys but gay. Sometimes luck just doesn't go our way unless it's bad luck. But maybe it's a good thing in a way.

This is true. 46 isn't old! I have plenty of time. I have a gay male friend who tells other guys I'm a good catch. I'm thinking to myself it's too bad HE doesn't see that, I mean really see it! That's an irony if I ever saw one! Ha Ha!

Not a proponent of internet dating. I've seen and heard too many horror stories but celebrity dating doesn't seem to be a much better option. When your a celebrity your out of touch with mainstream down to earth people and believe it or not you there is a smaller dating pool.

    Carefully.. but yes!

Back in the day - - I used to Yahoo Chat... dated a couple of women I met in there... and am actually still friends with them.

The Internet is a great place to get to know someone before you physically spend any time with them.

Beats the 30seconds you get when you meet someone in a club!

I'm on the fence about this one, but leaning towards "No"...wish there was a "maybe" option.

As for Mila, Paaalease....all she has to do is walk up to some guy and be like, "Hey, you wanna take me to dinner or you wanna go for a drink?" The girl would never go hungry, thirsty, or be lonely unless that's what she wanted.

I sympathize with her plight. I don’t think she is looking for either food or drink or physical contact. I think she is looking to make a genuine emotional connection. That is hard to accomplish if you are constantly on the go.

Furthermore, too many men (assuming she is heterosexual) are too insecure to spend time with someone who is more successful and more interesting than themselves.

To be certain, her problems are champagne problems. She is doing work that she loves. She is meeting famous people. She is going to wonderful locations all around the world. She is getting paid a tremendous amount of money. To top it all off, she is young and beautiful. I could be very, very happy with her problems.

possibly but not any time soon and not for sure but Ive been in 2 relationships with people I had met online when I was younger. One I was with for 2 years (and am still friends with to this day) and the other I was with for 2 months.
the 2 month one was a funny story. we'd been talking online for a little while there but I wasn't sure if I wanted to meet her so I was avoiding the idea. one night i was at my boys house before we were gonna go to the bar and I mentioned her. he laughed and said "why don't you go in the computer room, I know her" and there she was clicking away at the computer. I met her wether I had planned to or not.

I've been married through the Internet boom, so never had the chance. A friend of mine did, though. He would send his match a picture of him holding a note that said 'Hi, (match's handle)!" and ask her to do the same. Since he offered it up first, most were willing and he never had one not 'match' the picture in person.

Tried it once, never again. You need physical interaction, too. Perhaps if you start off on the internet and eventually meet it will work.

But what's a girl like her need internet dating for? ;)
  • tobe Drachen 2012/07/02 18:05:40 (edited)

    thats why you select location.
my guess with mila kunis is it gives you the opportunity to talk to a person with similar characteristics to see if you have chemistry before knowing their full name or seeing them face to face. with the fame she has it may be a way to see if someone connects with her without trying to get at her money point blank.

I did it differently. I didn't use a "dating service".

I didn't use a dating service. I met one on a personals site but not one of those e harmony type things and the other i met in a chat room.
  • Drachen tobe 2012/07/02 18:17:44
    Drachen
Well how does the "select location" come into play, then?
  • tobe Drachen 2012/07/02 18:21:37

even on personals web pages you can select location
