Yes I believe in marriage. The words are the same, it's the people that pledge them that change. When couples really love each other, they want to take those precious vows, to prove that love. Yes, always to marriage.

But I respect everyone's opinion of the subject. Marriage doesn't have to be for everyone.

Smart girl! I think marriage is a silly formality that can complicate a good relationship to the point where it becomes a BAD relationship..Better DEAD than WED!

I believe it provides a more stable environment for raising kids. Some people are lucky enough to be able to afford hiring all that assistance, most people people aren't. If a person has absolutely no intention of raising kids, then there's really no point in making a legal commitment to someone else. Love's all fine and good, but not a "need" to be married.

I believe in true love and if I have true love then I would want to get married.
I believe in marriage and I honor the commitment and the contract with the right man.
If I don't have the right man then I rather stay single. I want to marry the right man not the wrong man.

maybe one day i will change my mind , but why make that commitment when if you were ever to split up it gets messy? signing a piece of paper doesnt change the love you feel for one another , and most mariages are in crises before they're even started by people getting thousands of pounds in debt for a big special wedding , then realising their married life is going to be a whilwind of loans, overdrafts, mortgages trying to pay off their wedding day !...

I totally believe in marriage. I have been married for 23 years and absolutely love having that connection and knowing that the person I love has my back and I have his. I don't feel the need to listen to anything that Mila Kunis has to say. I hope Ashton Kutcher dumps her the same way he did Demi.

Yes I do believe in the sanctity of marriage. When it's between two people who love each other dearly it's a wonderful and beautiful thing.

Even though I have been married once before, and it ended, I would still do it again. Commitment to me is everything. If you can commit to me, you will have me forever.

When you find the right person, hold on and don't let go. As a man who has been married 40 years I highly recommend it.

I do however believe in the separation of church and state so I would like to deal with the terminology debacle the word marriage has presented these past few years. Marriages should be preformed in the church of your liking and have nothing to do with the state.

The state needs to provide a "certificate of union", "agreement to live together", "live as one" or some document buy which it will legally recognize two peoples commitment for legal purposes. All unions would come under this document.

If people want the blessings of their church they can jump through the church's hoops and receive the coveted title of married.

    What's the fuss?

No, not legally anyway. I don't see the point especially when the other person can turn around and divorce you for half of what you're worth. Sorry.

Of course! With 42 years [211+Kar-cash-ins] as PROOF and more than 60 years of disappointments in ALL around us, what Mila Kunis 'thinks' is just about what is expected from anyone with so much time with the high moral values of Ashton Kutcher and lack of Vacation Bible School! 1st kiss

I'm not really commenting on your post, you just won because you were the most recent post. After thinking about this for over a day I realized that Mila Kunis is quite possibly the most perfect women ever born! Really, what more could a guy ask for?!?!?! I also suspect that Mila isn't saying she is against marriage, just that she doesn't feel the pressure to find that perfect someone. Good for her.

"I'm not really commenting on your post," Really?! "Mila Kunis is quite possibly the most perfect women ever born!" Really?! Seeing no need in marriage seems as if it, in itself, an imperfection. We win because we accept our blessings and recognize God's graces, along with knowing the general apathetic, superficial standards of sleaze & political correctness. "I did not have sex with that woman", Yada, yada, yada...

Holy delayed response! Seeing no need for marriage is not an imperfection. In fact, I would say that the ability to be a free thinker gives her even more character. If you have followed what she has done the past couple years, you know she is a good person. I'm not talking career wise, but what she has done for our soldiers and for charity.

With a divorce rate around 50%, why in the world would people get married in this day and age? Would you go to the casino and play roulette and bet half you net worth on black or red? Kind of the same deal. Not to mention, people are so selfish, live for today, and always seem to think the grass is greener somewhere else. When I hear people say that life is too short for yada yada yada, it makes me want to smack them upside the head. Really, how selfish and closed minded are they? This "Me" generation crap is getting a little old and unfortunately it seems to be every generation these days.

"Seeing no need for marriage is not an imperfection. In fact, I would say that the ability to be a free thinker gives her even more character" Yeah, what you say reflects free thinking to a fault.

Yes, it's a sacred institution and should be upheld by people who believe in it. If you don't then that's your right too. It's whatever makes you feel happy and secure. For me, marriage does it.

I wish there was an "undecided" option. I do believe in marriage as a commitment, but I don't think the legal aspect is necessary. To me, marriage is when two people say "I want to spend the rest of my life with you" and mean it. You can be married without the ceremony, and you can be unmarried with the ceremony. For example, I don't count Kim Kardashian as ever being married.

I believe it can be accomplished and achieve.... if both parties are on the same page or by some miracle working hard on keeping a relationship.... I do believe marriage can work

i have no interest in getting married myself, but if other people decide they want to get married then i don't see why they shouldn't. i dislike it when people treat marriage as a more "secure" bond compared to a relationship - some people just don't want to marry.
