Not only is Mila Kunis gorgeous and talented, she may have saved a man's life last weekend.

When a 50-year-old employee collapsed in her home last Saturday due to a violent seizure, the 28-year-old actress ran over, turning the man's head to the side so he wouldn't choke, sources tell TMZ. She had her friend call 911, and when paramedics arrived at the scene, she offered to ride in the ambulance (it wasn't necessary). The man has since made a full recovery.

But Kunis is not the only celeb-to-the-rescue. According to The Sun, Dustin Hoffman saved a jogger's life when he collapsed in London's Hyde Park of a heart attack late last month. The actor reportedly called paramedics and stayed by the man's side as they got his heart beating again.

Actually, my vote is all of the above. I don't think heroism is about "my act is bigger than yours". If you did something heroic, regardless of significance, then you're a hero :)

Han Solo saved entire planets from the Death Star, and Indiana Jones stopped the Nazis. So I feel Ford is the victor here.

They were all amazing, but I'm most impressed by those who put themselves in harm's way. And Harrison Ford...just because he's a bad-ass in general.

I am so sick and tired of celebrity worship.

Famous people getting elevated to celebrated hero status for merely doing the right thing.

Carrying someone out of a burning building is the most bad-ass thing listed. It's one thing to save people's lives. It's another to save lives by disregarding your own.

I'd say his still living in Haiti, and continuing to help the people there is far more admirable than what this slide says. Lots of celebrities help out when the cause is in the spot light, but never follow through.

A side note on the Mila Kunis thing: There isn't any danger of a person having a seizure choking. You aren't supposed to do anything for a person having a seizure except clear away any objects they could harm themselves bumping into, like a table or something. Call 911, and they will get the paramedics there. People really should take First Aid/CPR training if they want to be heroes.

I agree with you, and they should include this option into the poll.

Rather, I should say Jon Voight is a hero because he dared to speak up his mind and write a wonderful and strong open letter to Barack Obama.

You forgot rowan atkinson (mr bean) , he saved his family when the pilot to their jet had blacked out while flying it. He maneuvered the entire jet and got it to land, then rushed to call paramedics while he stayed by the pilots side.

You missed the most heroic celebrity. It was Todd Beamer, on Flight 93 on 11SEP01. When he discovered the airliners were being used as kanikazes, he helped lead the attack on the hijackers.

His final known words were: "Are you guys ready? Okay, LET'S ROLL!!"

Most people sell their lives for nothing. He didn't!!

I think Tom Cruise and Sean Penn are on the top of the hero list. Because it seems as if there is a bad situation they are both ready to step in and help. But all these people are heroes just because they are available in a crisis situation.

It was more of an "All of the Above" to me- they all did something great and very heroic, so nobody deserves the title more than the other. its more of a tie- everybody saved someone, and just imagine that person who got saved and... now I'm rambling.

The correct answer is "all of the above!" I gave Mila the edge since she did accept the invitation to the U.S. Marine Corps Ball in North Carolina which had been posted by a Marine on You Tube! They are all good people.

Harrison Ford is an excellent helicopter pilot - the type of flying he did in the two rescues he accomplished would make an experience military helicopter pilot proud. Mila Kunis' efforts in not only calling 911 but performing basic first aid was also exemplary. Those two top the list in my opinion.

    - Kate Winslet was actively participating in a rescue from a fire (scary stuff).
    - Harrison Ford sounds like he is on a Park Rescue Team also fantasic.
    - T.I. talked down a suicide. Demi for God's sake get their phone number and call them.
    - Gosling saving the woman from being run over outstanding, breaking up street fight (unless a woman is getting beat-up) good way to get your ass kicked
    - Mila performed the right response for a seizure (at least she knew), but not life saving.
    - Unless there was a fire or the kid was bleeding out, Dempsey should have left the teen where he was until Paramedics arrived.
    - Hoffman & Cruise called an ambulance ~ Dustin learn CPR, Tom learn how to dial a phone yourself
  • Steve Nomad58 2012/05/11 06:56:02

To be fair to Tom if he was possibly preparing to administer CPR or first aid, after assessing the scene the next step is to have someone call 911.
  • Nomad58 Steve 2012/05/11 13:51:39
    Nomad58
If that were the case he should have reported from the scene to advise of the situation. The is no indication in the summation he provided any type of first aid.
  • Steve Nomad58 2012/05/11 15:11:09
    Steve
He might not have needed to or the woman did not want his help first aid wise or more qualified help had arrived already. The summation is only two sentences so its not a whole lot of detail.
