Two-time gold medal-winning Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas is an American hero -- so we'd say she can eat whatever she wants. But when she confessed to eating an Egg McMuffin at McDonald's after her historic wins in London, first lady Michelle Obama poked fun at her.
"You're setting me back, Gabby," the health and fitness advocate told Douglas during a taping Monday for NBC's "Tonight Show." Sixteen-year-old Gabby responded, "Sorry!"

"You're setting me back, Gabby," the health and fitness advocate told Douglas during a taping Monday for NBC's "Tonight Show." Sixteen-year-old Gabby responded, "Sorry!"

But Douglas, the first African-American to win the all-around title, didn't seem the least bit miffed by Mrs. O's comment. "I mean, I never thought I would be doing the show with the first lady, or even you, Jay," the starstruck teen told Leno.
Do you think Michelle was just having fun when she teased Gabby? Or does Gabby deserve to eat whatever she wants after earning two gold medals for the U.S. -- and burning a lot of calories while she was at it?

Hero: [heer oh]: a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal: He was a local hero when he saved the drowning child.
In my opinion a hero puts their life or personal safety at risk for the benefit of others. I consider military service persons heros.
But back to the base question, I did not hear the comment, or how it was stated so I cannot say one way or the other, but I understand Douglas was not offended so who else has any right to take offense, (except possibly McDonalds). But remember the First Lady has been on an anti child obesity campaign, (justifiably) and how does McDonalds help? $4/99 for a healthy Salad, $0.99 for a cheeseburger.
Gabby achieved something incredibly significant in her life and her way of celebrating that with an Egg McMuffin demonstrated humility and her humanity.
Mrs. O did not demonstrate humility or humanity.
