Michael Waltrip Racing has scheduled a conference. Part of the talk was about how Waltrip will probably scale back to a part-time seat for the high profile races. Michael Waltrip is getting up there in age-- in his late 40's. Now, Waltrip may be a NASCAR driving winner, and part of a fine pedigree, but you got to stop and retire some time. And why not do it while you are ahead of the game... you know.

I care not what others do. I do not watch racing, sorry. but no one should retire until they are ready. my boss just retired and he said it is boring

He shouldn't retire, unless he feels he wants to, I think if a person is doing something they enjoy they should keep at it as long as they can. He's good at what he does & he's not hurting anybody, let him race & leave him alone as long as he wants to do it & can do it.

I think he's entertaining and I would like to think he has another 5-7 years left but maybe that's just wishful thinking. He seems to run in the back and running in the back of the pack leads to wrecks. I don't mind the young guys (go Joey) but I hate Kyle Busch, I don't think racing is necessarily a young man's sport, which mark martin has proved.

It was a tough choice given the questions. If Waltrip wants to retire he's certainly welcomed to it. He's done a wonderful job of promoting the racing industry and deserves the accolades. If he still digs racing, then leave the man alone and let him race.
